Introducing Garmin Xero, A Groundbreaking Auto

This high-quality and durable crossbow target is rated for crossbows up to 500 feet per second and stops the arrows from the Nitro 500 quite well. The elongated power stroke also keeps the arrow nock engaged with the string for an additional 4 inches before release, this is also a critical component in performance. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he has spent more than a decade in the outdoor industry, from hiking and camping to silencers and hunting. His father taught him to shoot at age six, and he received his first firearm at age eight — a 1942 Colt Commando .38 special revolver.

This two-stage, zero-creep design features an advanced roller-sear system that delivers a consistent crisp, 3.5-pound pull. The Havoc RS440 features a patented reverse-draw bow assembly that draws the string through the riser, creating a 13.5-inch power stroke. The elongated power stroke also keeps the arrow nock engaged with the string before release – this is a critical component in performance, as the longer the nock remains engaged with the string, the more accurate the crossbow will shoot. The reverse-draw design is unmatched in its ability to produce speed and power. The Nitro 505 features a 17-inch power stroke — the longest in the industry. The increased power stroke generates more speed with less draw weight — creating a smoother, quieter shot.

If you are a hunter you already know that the most accurate and lethal shot is at yards. Wicked Ridge Rampage 360 shoots arrows at up to 360 feet per second, with a power stroke of 13.5 inches. If the arrow is not knocked and you pull the trigger by accident, you can be sure that strings will not fire, as it comes with dry-fire inhibitor from Tenpoint. Because from around 45 yards and less with speeds around 350 feet per second deer won’t be complaining about the noise.

The Vapor RS470 XERO is built with a fully integrated pass-through fore-grip which enables the shooter to position the fore-grip hand safely on the front of the crossbow, even when shooting from a bench or rested position. TenPoint’s Engineers specifically designed the ACUslide to eliminate the potential of losing control during the de-cocking process which can lead to injury or costly bow damage. The barrel is fastened to the ultra-light, two-piece TEC-X stock that features multiple weight-reducing cutouts, as well as a hollow pocket that houses the ACUslide system. The stock also features an elevated cheek piece to provide the shooter with perfect eye level alignment for the XERO X1i Rangefinding Scope. The NEW Garmin Xero® X1i crossbow scope with built-in laser rangefinder is the first of its kind.

Precise illuminated aim points automatically adjust for both distance and brightness conditions to allow you to see your target, unobstructed by reticle patterns. The days of “gap-shooting” with multiple aim points are gone, you need merely to range the target by way of the built-in touchpad on the grip and use the single aiming solution provided by the Xero X1i. The auto-ranging digital scope with 3.5X magnification automatically measures the distance to a target. The bow assembly is sandwiched between the rest of the crossbow by the 16-inch MICRO-TRAC barrel on the top and the new TEC-TACTICAL stock on the bottom.

  • Noise and vibration are further reduced after the shot by an integrated string stop system found at the end of the barrel.
  • Garmin has introduced the Xero A1 and A1i, two groundbreaking auto-ranging digital laser bow sights that automatically measure the distance to a target and provide a precise, virtual lighted pin for the shot.
  • Before buying Sub-1, which is a great crossbow, to begin with, and not only because it is quiet.
  • If you purely going for the distance, a typical crossbow when is perfectly level can shoot about 250 feet.
  • Simply put, the A1 and A1i contain the same groundbreaking technology with added features to the A1i.
  • One aspect of TenPoint crossbows that has always appealed to me is the company’s approach to a “unitized” or “monolithic-style” stock platform.

The Nitro 505’s limbs are 30 pounds heavier and they elongated the power stroke by 3.5 inches. TenPoint’s engineering team spared no expense in the research, design, and testing phases of this crossbow. All major components were designed to handle this level of industry-leading speed and power. The crossbow measures only 26.5-inches (w/o stirrup) long, 7.5-inches wide, and shoots a supercharged 440 feet-per-second with the included 400-grain arrow EVO-X™ CenterPunch 16 carbon arrow. Unlike competitors short crossbows using 20-inch arrows that hang over the front of the bow by 2-3-inches, the CenterPunch16 16-inch arrow is a perfect length for the 26.5-inch long Havoc RS440 Xero.

TenPoint equipped the Nitro 505 with a Vector-Quad cable system, which means that it utilizes four cables instead of the standard two, this eliminates cam lean and generates straight nock travel. The TenPoint Nitro 505 has a full length of 30.7 inches and it has an axle to axle width of a mere 6.5 inches cocked and 12.5 inches wide uncocked. An altimeter is a function in watches that helps measure the altitude. By measuring the atmospheric pressure, the watch is able to measure the altitude above sea level or a relative fixed point and provide the information in either feet or meters. The device collects elevation and pressure data continuously, even in low-power mode.

The string for an additional 4-inches compared to traditional crossbows, before release – this is a critical component in performance, as the longer the nock remains engaged with the string, the more accurate the arrow will be upon impact. In addition, this center-mounted riser provides superior balance, eliminating the “nose heavy” feel of traditional crossbows and making it easier to hold steady and increase accuracy. The RX7-Cam™ system Introducing Garmin Xero, A Groundbreaking Auto rotates an industry leading 404-degrees to produce speeds up to an unprecedented 470 feet-per-second. The crossbow’s revolutionary Vector-Quad™ cable technology utilizes four cables instead of the traditional two which eliminates cam lean and generates straight-nock travel leading to same- hole downrange accuracy. This 2-stage, zero-creep design features an advanced roller-sear system that delivers a consistent crisp, 3.5-pound pull.

There are a ton of features worth mentioning on the Havoc RS440 XERO, but I can’t help but start with how well balanced and maneuverable this crossbow is. Immediately upon picking up the bow, I noted how comfortable the pistol grip is and how easy it was to hold the bow steady while shouldered. Much of the credit for this can be found in the reverse-draw bow assembly that places the machined, aluminum riser near the center of the unit.

  • TenPoint even managed to keep the crossbow compact with a cocked width of a mere 6 inches.
  • A single button press lets you range game up to 250-yards away and reflective targets up to 500-yards away.
  • It includes the NEW and improved RangeMaster 100 Scope that can accommodate speeds for up to 505fps.
  • Eric Lundgren of Ruger, which now owns Marlin, highlights the features of both rifles with Game & Fish Editorial Director Adam Heggenstaller at SHOT Show 2023 in Las Vegas.
